Insect-based protein can be a hard sell to the average consumer. Hopper uses organic and funky shapes to convey the restaurant as healthy and fun. The brand mascot, along with being cute, is designed to look like a combination of a grasshopper and a bowl. Advertising and web design showed off the brand's three hooks: Insect-based food is an alternative protein, an eco-friendly option, and a trendy new meal option.
